Leadership Scam
A well known member on HackForums, Sai, recently scammed and manipulated his way to the top of the ladder and became the official owner of the Graphic Masters while only spending $50 out of his own pocket. Instead of stopping there he removed all past leaders and promoted two new leaders to replace them. Omniscient's has been notified of this issue and his response to this issue was short and straight to the point "He is the groups new owner. End of story. ". Prestige
A mysterious new feature called "Prestige" has been added to HackForums. Prestige is a combination of post count, repuatation, number of awards, and online time. Although there is no official use for this feature yet, Omniscient has stated that it may be later used as a requirement for certain section, similar to how you must have positive rep to enter the marketplace. New group
The new and very secretive group Illuminati has recently been opened under the leadership of BELLAGIO. The group seems to be based on monetizing, and other money making methods. At the moment the group is strictly invite only and there has been no information suggesting that they will ever be opening recruitment. Junk Section Purged and Posts Recounted
Hack Forums has recently lost over five-hundred thousand posts in the emptying of the junked section. All of the member's post counts were also recounted, dropping nearly all active members’ post counts. This is a required activity and happens every once in a while. "These purges help keep the database trim and tight." As said by Omniscient. This purge has affected many members but also the current staff of HF. One of the staff members, Factor8, or more commonly known as ‘F8’ lost a massive total of 26,000 posts during the purge.

New Userbar
The well-known group ‘Reverence’ has recently changed the group’s userbar. There were mixed responses to this change; however the majority of them were negative. In response to the negative statements directed towards the user bar one of the leaders, Astonish is NJ, wrote “We symbolize help not looks.” Implying that they are more concerned with the content they produce than the members’ opinions of the userbar. In the end they decided to return to the original userbar.

Warning system makeover
Omniscient has remade the warning system to simplify the warnings and make them more understandable. The Low Quality Posting, Wrong Forum Posting, Cross Posting, and Off Topic warnings have been merged into the Posting etiquette warning which will be 20% with a duration of one month. A few warnings have been removed however there were no new rules added to HackForums.

Minor Changes
Omni has been doing some maintenance around HF, which resulted in HF being on and off throughout Monday. Also he decided to remove the ‘Limited’ group and all users that belonged to this group were moved into the ‘Closed’ group. Another small, but noticeable change was the new text when junking a thread, it now reads “Are you sure? Please be aware we consider the mass junking of your threads to be abuse of this feature. We ask that you selectively junk threads and only when you have a valid reason. Please respect that others have posts and that your thread might contain valuable content.” The reason behind this was to lower the rate of junk abuse, as Omni has been very strict about enforcing this rule.

Removal of the Black Knights
The now unofficial group ‘Black Knights’ was recently dismantled and removed. In a sentence or two, Omniscient’s reason was that the group was poorly led, extremely small population wise and it was a free group in the first place. After the removal of the group, one of the former members decided to attempt to revive the group by recruiting new members as an unofficial group. The link to the recruitment thread can be found here: goo.gl/ABeZe

Great Milestone for HF
HackForums has recently passed the well-known forum

New group
The new usergroup, Propitious is finally here. The final payment was made on the 25th by both of the leaders, iNviZ and TheHackersLove. At this time it is unknown when the recruitment will be open for the new group, however it was stated in their FAQ thread that the recruitment will be shortly after the opening of the group. To view the Propitious FAQ thread follow this link: goo.gl/1NBQq

Censored word
Yet another word, mega-upload (without the hyphen), was censored. The reason behind this is most likely due to the fact that the file sharing website was shut down and the owner was arrested and could be facing an extensive time of 20 years in jail. Like HackForums, many other websites have been making changes

New section
Omniscient recently added a new subforum in the Premium Sellers Section called 'Server stress testing'. At this moment the section is closed and members are unable to create news threads. Omniscient has yet to provide a reason behind adding this section, however it will help organize the section a bit more. To view this new subforum click the following link: http://goo.gl/WMbyU

Theme problems
Recently many members have noticed that there were several issues with the theme at HackForums. According to Omniscient the problem was caused by the CDN for the forum theme no longer working. At this point it seems that all errors have been fixed and everything is running smoothly. To view Omniscient's tweet about the error click the following link: http://goo.gl/XCfG2
